Who We Are

Army Public School, Faridkot Mil Stn was established in 1978 as a Garrison Nursery School with just two teachers and fifty students and was designated as Army Primary School in 1982. The school got affiliated to Army Welfare Education Society and Central Board of Secondary Education with effect from 01 Apr 2001 and 01 Apr 2002 respectively. Std X has been added to the school from academic year 2006-07. The total strength of students in the school as on date is 808. The school has a teaching staff of 40 well-qualified teachers. An all out endeavour is being made with the main focus on academics.

Due emphasis is laid on personality development through various co-curricular activities. The school is divided into four Houses namely Abdul Kalam, Vivekananda, Ambedkar and Kalpana Chawla House for this purpose. This also helps in inculcating an atmosphere of healthy competition in the school.

Army School has been re-designated as Army Public School with effect from 01 Jul 2011.
